With 25 years of experience and keen insight into infrastructure, I have served as VP Operations, CIO, and CTO roles, and handled finance, software implementations, special projects, and IT departments at various points in my career in multimillion-dollar organizations.
I have realized the value of efficient systems and better processes which actually means employees and stakeholders can enjoy life more. It is our mission to achieve life-giving results for our clients. My wife, Julie, and I live in Franklin. Julie is the co-founder and owner of Providence Interiors (do some shopping online or stop by the store in Wedgewood Houston). We have four boys, three graduating from college, one working in logistics, two as architects and the fourth is working as an assistant project manager in construction. We enjoy home projects, travel, design, and sharing life with our friends and neighbors.
About the Name: BIG Serve
While BIG is the official abbreviation for "Brown Innovation Group" it is also the name of my grandfather who taught me many of the skills I have today. We called him “Big” from “Big Bill.” He was an engineer by trade, a technology leader in the early computer days, a master carpenter, a self-taught photographer, designer, architect, and mechanic.
As a young boy, I spent my weekends “helping” him. I can hear him saying, “What are you going to do about that, Boy?” He taught me to look to the solution, not the problem. We built a go-cart together and worked on a plethora of household projects, but he really taught me even more valuable lessons and skills about life. He was the first example of a servant-leader to me. So, the Brown Innovation Group, BIG Serve, is rooted in family strength, service, and values and carries Big’s fingerprints into my work today.
